Jharkhand’s heritage needs a new lease of life.
The artworks carved on the walls are not just a symbol of beauty. These walls are a symbol of Jharkhand’s rich heritage, which is known by the name of Padma Fort. Buildings are living witnesses of any tradition and history. They give a sense of historical significance along with the cultural significance of the society and environment of their time. The centuries-old heritage still reminds us of glorious history and tradition. This beautiful heritage, which contains everyone’s memories and stories, has started to collapse due to lack of maintenance.
Padma Fort is located at a distance of about 22 kilometers from Hazaribagh district of Jharkhand. It attracts people every day. People of all ages come to see this beautiful building. The Raj Fort complex is quite large. There is also a Hawa Mahal and Rani Talab surrounded by stairs on all sides.
The beautiful heritage of the Padma royal family is now seen in a dying state. The Jharkhand government or the head of the royal family, Saurabh Narayan Singh, should save the disappearing Padma Fort. It needs to be preserved. Now, slowly, the walls are breaking down, and it is turning into a ruin. Some people have made it a drinking spot. People have also broken the doors and windows. Abuse words are written on the walls. Some lovers who could not express their love face to face have written the names of their girlfriends on these walls.
Just a few days ago, I went to Sikkim to visit a waterfall. The ticket to enter was between 50 and 200 rupees. I entered the waterfall park and saw that a water waterfall had been beautifully designed as a tourist spot. This also provides employment for the people living nearby. Many small and big shops were opened there. The tourism department of Jharkhand should take inspiration from this and try to save the precious heritage that is vanishing in Jharkhand.
