India’s first AI teacher, ‘Iris’ launched

With the arrival of Iris in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, a wave of modern development is being considered in the field of education. Developed in collaboration with MakerLabs, an edutech company, Iris is the first humanoid robot teacher in the state and possibly the entire country. This AI teacher Iris innovation comes from KTCT Higher Secondary School, an initiative of Kaduvayil Thangal Charitable Trust.

The capabilities of this multilingual AI teacher can be seen in a video shared on the official Instagram account of MakerLabs. Built under the Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL) project launched by NITI Aayog, Iris is a modern social welfare and development project in society.

Including the ability to speak three languages and deal with complex queries, as well as voice assistance, interactive learning modules, manipulation capabilities, and mobility.

In the modern era, we should always welcome new innovations like AI, but relying on AI all the time destroys human thinking and creativity.
